iridiumDataStatus.sh
This program runs at 19:14 every day. The purpose of this script is to check how many Iridium data files have been downloaded and when they were last updated and what their file sizes are. This will allow us to monitor the status of the Iridium dialers and the amount of data we have collected from the AGO stations. Bottom line, the purpose is to create a summary of what Iridium data has been download each day and send it out in daily emails.
iridiumDataStatus2.sh
This program runs at 7:13, 10:13, 13:13, 16:13, 19:13, and 22:13 every day. The first purpose of this script is to check if any of the Iridium data files are missing or have not been updated in the last 3 hours. If there are more than three problems with the data for one of the stations, a Problem Report will be emailed to the Augsburg AGO crew. Bottom line, the purpose is to eliminate the need to go and manually check the Iridium dialers and to inform us if the modems need to be reset. The second purpose of this script is to check how many Iridium data files have been downloaded and when they were last updated and what their file sizes are. This will allow us to monitor the status of the Iridium dialers and the amount of data we have collected from the AGO stations. Bottom line, the purpose is to create a summary of what Iridium data has been download each day and post it on the website.
